Azizi Developments, a leading private developer in the UAE, has signed up Toshiba Elevator and Building Systems Corporation, the Japanese makers of the world’s fastest elevator, to supply and install all passenger and service elevators in a minimum of 36 buildings in Riviera, Dubai’s new waterfront-lifestyle landmark in MBR City, as well as for Creek Views, Azizi’s 634-unit modern luxury development in Dubai Healthcare City.
Toshiba’s most modern solution, its machine-room-less (M.R.L) elevators, will be integrated with premium wood-style cabin wall finishings and elegant buttons, embedded in full-height, luxurious glass panels, said a statement from Azizi.
Elevator safety is made a priority, with the technology meeting and surpassing all international standards, it stated.
Chief Operating Officer Afzaal Hussain said: "As part of our ongoing efforts to partner with best-in-class suppliers for our premium communities and developments, we are delighted to appoint Toshiba for our elevators."
"With our stringent, meticulous supplier selection and procurement process, Toshiba, with its outstanding safety and quality track record, has emerged as the absolute best fit," he noted.
“We are confident that our customers will value not only its high quality standards, which match and reflect those of our premium developments in MBR City and Dubai Healthcare City, but also its innovative, technological solutions that will add to the elegance and sustainability of our projects”, he added.
Azizi’s Riviera, a stylish waterfront-lifestyle destination located in the heart of MBR City, is planned to comprise 71 mid-rise buildings with 16,000 residences that are conveniently located in the midst of all the business, leisure and retail hubs of the city.
Designed to introduce the French-Mediterranean lifestyle to Dubai, which is not merely about architectural art but also about a certain ‘joie de vivre’ — a celebration of life, an exultation of spirit, Riviera represents a new landmark.
The homes offer spectacular views of the city’s skyline and ensure generous space, spread across three districts: an extensive retail boulevard, a canal walk with artisan eateries and boutiques, and Les Jardins — a lush-green social space.
On Azizi deal, Toshiba Elevators (Middle East) Managing Director MJ Mohammed Iqbal said: "We are delighted to partner with them and supply our state-of-the-art elevator solutions, which will ensure their esteemed residents' safety, comfort and convenience."
Having already installed our elevators in various iconic developments across Dubai and beyod, we have a strong presence in this market. We now look forward to build on this together with Azizi, and thank this reputable developer for choosing us as their partner," he added.
Phase One of Riviera, which is now over 60% complete, comprises 3,589 residences spread across 18 buildings, consisting of 2,461 studios, 935 one-bedroom, 111 two-bedroom, and 82 three-bedroom units, most of which are projected to be finalised in 2020.
Phase 1 has a total built-up area of 375,541 sq. m and a total gross floor area of 180,854 sq m, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
