Bahrain and Israel have discussed aspects of joint cooperation in the fields of trade, investment and tourism between the two countries.
The two sides highlighted the expected opportunities in these important sectors, focusing on how to activate the memoranda of understanding signed in light of the declaration of support for peace, a BNA report said.
Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani held a meeting with the Israeli Minister of Regional Cooperation Ofir Akunis in Jerusalem on the occasion of the Bahraini delegation’s visit to the State of Israel. The delegation includes officials representing different ministries and Government bodies.
They also discussed a number of issues of common interest that serve the development of economic relations and open the way for the private sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel to cooperate and establish joint projects, especially with the advanced capabilities of the two countries' economies that help to achieve partnerships in various fields.
Al-Zayani also visited Israel Innovation Expo in Jerusalem.
During the visit, the minister was briefed on the various exhibits showcased in the exhibition, as well the most important modern innovations on display, which reflect scientific progress.
“Today we are conducting the second visit to the State of Israel and we are pleased to see the extent of development that will contribute to our future relations and benefit from common experiences,” he said.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain, through signing the Declaration in Support of Peace, is steadily moving towards strengthening joint cooperation in all fields with the State of Israel, and taking advantage of joint opportunities in the interests of the country,” he added.
He stressed the importance of starting open visits between officials and representatives of companies and institutions in the private sector between the two countries, in order to strengthen economic relations and exchange experiences, looking forward to joint projects in the near future.-- Tradearabia News Service
