Airbus is to showcase its mission- and business-critical, 5G-enabled hybrid devices and solutions at this year’s Gitex Technology Week in Dubai which takes place from December 6 to 10.

The global technology event will be the first held in-person since the establishment of pandemic-related restrictions in the UAE.

During Gitex, Airbus will be presenting the state-of-the-art features of its Tactilon Agnet 500, Tactilon Agnet 800, and Tactilon Dabat. The company will demonstrate how its communication and collaboration solutions are supporting first responders with their daily tasks, especially during crises such as the current pandemic, and other emergencies.

The Tactilon Agnet 500 and 800 collaboration platforms allow efficient end-to-end and encrypted group communication between public-safety personnel. The easy-to-use, flexible and scalable collaboration solutions enable video calls, multimedia messaging, and real-time location tracking.

They also allow communication between smartphone users and Tetra radio users.

Airbus’ hybrid device Tactilon Dabat is a smartphone and a Tetra radio in-one. Its Hybrid Roaming feature enables users to communicate efficiently and seamlessly switch between Tetra or LTE network services, according to availability.

Both the Tactilon Agnet and the Tactilon Dabat are 5G-ready technologies which help organisations and agencies embrace the future of critical-communication technologies in a smooth, safe, and reliable manner without compromising the security, reliability, and quality of their communications.
“At Airbus, we provide extended support to public-safety officers, emergency teams and healthcare workers through our secure communication and collaboration technology. With the deployment of our technology, lives are saved and risks are minimized,” says Walid Lahoud, Head of Sales Middle East and North Africa for Secure Land Communications at Airbus.

“Gitex is an important platform for us to highlight the multimedia features of our 5G-ready technologies and discuss how these can accompany our customers in the region as Dubai and the UAE are gradually and steadily making the transition to future technologies. During the event, we will present how agencies and enterprises can navigate the new reality through Airbus solutions as they aim for more secure and resilient operations,” Lahoud concluded. -- Tradearabia News Service
