Leading UAE developer Nakheel said its retail and trading hub, Dragon Mart, has reopened for business, thus joining its other community developments including Nakheel Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall and Golden Mile Galleria which is opening this week.
All shops at Dragon Mart are now open, although entertainment outlets such as the cinema, rooftop sports complex and Fabyland remain closed under the latest directives, its owner and operator Nakheel Malls.
It is operating in line with all government protocols – and beyond – with safety and wellbeing the priority. Before opening, it underwent an extensive deep disinfection and all customer service desk staff took Covid-19 tests.
A sanitisation tunnel was installed for shop staff and delivery drivers, with more security personnel brought on board for added safety, said the statement from Nakheel.
Government protocols, including temperature checks for all tenants and visitors, social distancing policies, the wearing of masks and a 30 per cent visitor limit are in place, along with a 24-hour, ongoing sanitisation regime, it stated.
A world-renowned, retail destination, Dragon Mart is famous for its bulk-buy, discounted products for trade and consumer customers, it added.
Omar Khoory, the Managing Director of Nakheel Malls, said: "Dragon Mart is one of the region’s best-loved venues for shopping, trading, dining and entertainment among people of all ages, from all walks of life. We are proud to have helped more than 3,000 small to medium businesses resume operations."
"The Dragon Mart website and social media pages have been inundated with queries about reopening, proving just how popular this unique destination is," he noted.
“The reopening comes at a time when many people are closely monitoring their finances in the wake of the current global situation, and will highlight Dragon Mart as the biggest and best source of quality, affordable goods for wholesale and the general public,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
