The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) is turning to innovative digital platforms to host ‘The Future is Now’ Economic Forum from October 19 to 22, 2020 which will be attended by top-level participants from Arab countries and Brazil.

The online event will feature a plenary session and an exhibition where business leaders can connect and explore new opportunities using a combination of the latest digital technology platforms and devices to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience, a statement said.

The ABCC-hosted forum attempts to bring to life the event activities much closer to a television format as well as uses unique devices for its exhibition offering various navigation tools for users to interact.

Participants with access to 3D goggles and a smartphone will be able to enjoy an immersive and real-time experience of the activities during the four-day event. Meanwhile, the discussions during the plenary session promises an animated and lively talk that cannot be compared to conventional webinars.

Rubens Hannun, President, Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, said: “The Economic Forum for Brazil and Arab Countries has become the ideal venue for Arabs and Brazilians to meet and engage in social and economic discussions on the latest trends and the most pertinent issues for both parties. As we do not want to be restricted by the current impositions of COVID-19 to physically meet and have a complete experience as we used to, we turned to some of the latest digital innovations as part of our efforts to maintain the quality of our event as well as keep our members updated and enable them to discuss important issues.”

Hannun added: “We expect to reach out to an even broader audience anywhere they are in the world though this platform and have a complete virtual experience par excellence as there will be an exhibition area presented in a 3D environment where virtual stands will showcase Arab and Brazilian companies, a dedicated area for the Chamber, as well as a virtual café to enhance the interactive experience among attendees.”

Artistically designed settings will see some panelists speak from a studio, featuring live on-camera show, while ensuring safety and precautionary measures are in place to prevent spread of infection. The platform’s developers are also working to visually synchronize the backdrop and the speakers’ presentation.
