DGDA sets out on global roadshow to promote iconic Riyadh project


Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), the master developer behind the major 450+ retail unit Diriyah Square project in Saudi Arabia, is embarking on an ambitious retail innovation roadshow to support leasing of its iconic Riyadh development.

The schedule commences with an exhibition of the project at the renowned international retail property event MAPIC, taking place in Cannes, France, from November 29 to December 2.
 
DGDA is the master developer behind the major 450+ retail unit Diriyah Square project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Opening in 2024, it is the commercial heart of the SR190 billion ($50.6 billion) Diriyah giga-project. 
 
This unique development on the western edge of Riyadh gathers together the finest brands from across the kingdom and around the world in an exceptional, authentic and intimate environment of streets and squares, stated DGDA.
 
On the new road show, Group Chief Executive Officer Jerry Inzerillo said: "Diriyah is being developed as part of His Royal Higness Mohammed Bin Salman’s Vision 2030 to create a vibrant society and a thriving economy – which Diriyah Square with its collection of the best of retail, hospitality, leisure and culture sits at the heart of. We are excited to be commencing an energetic global roadshow to meet the most innovative and ambitious retail concepts from across the world; brands which will greatly contribute to bringing this exceptional project to life and creating a place like no other."
 
As part of this drive, Diriyah Development Company (DevCo), the subsidiary of Diriyah Gate Development Authority, recently appointed expert leasing executive Alfie Gibbs to Diriyah as Head of Retail Leasing. 
 
Gibbs has previously held several of the highest leasing and retail positions within GCC investment and development companies and projects – including Dubai Holdings, Aldar and Majid Al Futtaim.
 
DevCo President Jonathan Timms said: "We have already seen unprecedented demand for retail space at Diriyah Square, and this appointment ensures that we continue to collaborate successfully with the world’s leading brands."

Construction on Diriyah Square began in 2019 and it is on schedule to be completed ahead of a 2024 opening. The project will be showcased at the upcoming Mapic 2021 and is the only Saudi Arabian development present at the event.-TradeArabia News Service
